Production on this SNL – TV Funhouse installment, an homage to the classic Rankin/Bass style, was a sprint to the finish… It’s not often that a stop-motion animated project airs hours after it’s finished. But amazing animators among the likes of Wendy Fuller, and Rob Shaw cranked out the frames at record rates.

This version is cut down from the original, which really should be viewed for all of Robert Smigel’s bitingly hilarious dialogue.
